Well, I’m off to my mum’s for a week so won’t be on-line much. I can’t abide my mother’s antiquated dial-up connection. I’ve finally persuaded her to go broadband but they’re not coming to sort it out ’til next week.
Well, we got stuffed again at cricket this afternoon. We made a paltry 76 all out, with yours truly out for a first ball duck, and were then put to the sword as Rowntrees made 77 for 1 off 15 overs. Oh well, at least Yorkshire won the C & G quarter final versus Northants. [...]
The England selectors have dropped Graham Thorpe in favour of Kevin Pietersen. It may be a little harsh on Thorpey but I have to say I think it’s the right thing to do. Hurra Torpedo, a band that uses kitchen appliances for percussion, does their tribute to Bonnie Tyler’s 1983 hit song, “Total Eclipse of the Heart”, on the tv show, “Lille Lørdag”. (Requires DivX)
I particularly like the instumental bit where one of them starts bashing the cooker.
